Miyun Constructs 270,000 Sqm of Habitat for Waterfowls

Recently, the Miyun Waterfowl Protection and Habitat Restoration Project officially commenced, aiming to create a 270,000 square meters habitat for birds in areas including the Qingshui River.

It is reported that the "Bird Island" in Miyun Reservoir has recently experienced a "hatching boom", with chicks of species like the great egret beginning to emerge from the shells. By the end of May, the total number of hatched chicks on the "Bird Island" is expected to reach over 4,000.
