If your motor vehicle is in one of the following situations, you can apply for a temporary entry license for the motor vehicle:

1. Motor vehicles that have entered China temporarily for no more than three months;

2. Foreign motor vehicles that have entered China temporarily to participate in organized tourism events, competitions and other interaction activities approved by the national competent authority;

3. Foreign motor vehicles that have entered China temporarily and only traveled within a certain range of border areas.

1. If the motor vehicle registration certificate issued by a competent foreign authority is not written in Chinese, a Chinese translation copy shall also be provided;

2. A certificate issued by Chinese customs and other departments to allow the motor vehicle to enter the country;

3. If the conformity certificate on technical inspection of safety on the motor vehicle is approved and issued by a competent foreign authority, its Chinese translation copy shall also be provided. For non-commercial small and micro passenger cars and motorcycles with less than 7 seats (excluding 7 seats) that have hung foreign motor vehicle licenses and registered within the last 6 years, if they have the registration certificate of motor vehicle, an entry certificate of motor vehicle and China's compulsory insurance certificate for motor vehicle traffic accident liability with a period of no less than the temporary entry time limit which is issued by competent foreign authorities, they shall be exempted from submitting the conformity certificate on technical inspection of safety on the motor vehicle after the motor vehicle is inspected;

4. China's compulsory insurance certificate of motor vehicle traffic accident liability with a period of no less than the temporary entry time limit;

5. Individuals who have entered China temporarily to participate in organized competitions and other interaction activities shall also submit certificates issued by relevant Chinese authorities;

6. If a travel agency organizes foreigners to travel inside China by their own motor vehicle, the motor vehicle registration certificate issued by the competent foreign authority and the visiting plan of the travel agency shall also be verified.

Fees

10 CNY per license for cars and motorcycles with temporary entry shall be charged 10 CNY.
