In the first two months of 2025, Beijing's exports reached CNY 94.78 billion, up 5.5 percent year‐on‐year, which outpaced the national export growth rate by 2.1 percentage points, marking a strong start to the year.

Exports from the region's major opening platforms all recorded growth. Specifically, the China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone's exports totaled CNY 14.37 billion, up 8.9 percent year-on-year. Exports from the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area reached CNY 8.75 billion, up 12.1 percent year-on-year; and the Zhongguancun National Innovation Demonstration Park posted exports of CNY 3.33 billion, up 10.7 percent year-on-year. In the same period, the Beijing Tianzhu Comprehensive Bonded Zone recorded exports of CNY 870 million, up 43.8 percent year-on-year, while the Daxing Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone's exports surged to CNY 210 million, up 665.7 percent year-on-year.

The export performance of automobile manufacturing and information technology sectors was particularly impressive. In the first two months, Beijing's automobile manufacturing industry made a significant contribution to regional export growth, with auto parts exports reaching CNY 4.42 billion (up 38.8 percent year-on-year) and automobile exports at CNY 3.87 billion (up 106.3 percent year-on-year). The combined export growth of auto parts and automobiles in Beijing increased by 3.6 percentage points. Meanwhile, the information technology sector maintained its upward trend, with flat panel display module exports totaling CNY 1.67 billion (up 69.8 percent year-on-year) and computer and component exports reaching CNY 1.03 billion (up 41 percent year-on-year).

Overall, exports of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region amounted to CNY 207.05 billion, hitting a record high for the same period with a 2.1 percent year-on-year increase. Beijing alone accounted for 45.8 percent of the region's total exports, contributing to a 2.5-percentage-point rise in the overall growth of exports of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and playing a key role in the region's export expansion.
