Consumer vouchers to the tune of CNY 100 million have been issued for Daxing's Consumption Season activities to date, already boosting consumption by more than CNY 6 billion. The Beijing Daxing International Airport has hosted three consecutive Daxing Airlines Festival, with a total investment of tens of million of CNY, and the distribution of over 500,000 air tickets and vouchers. The domestic and international passenger throughput surpassed the 20 million mark in the first half of 2024, 50 days ahead of schedule. An array of consumption activities has been held at Livat Beijing, attracting an average daily customer flow of over 100,000.
Creating a Unique Cultural Tourism Brand and Constructing an Urban Micro-Vacation Highland
Daxing has banked on key tourism resources such as Beijing Daxing International Airport and Beijing Wildlife Park as it has striven to enhance the customer experience and created a new "Discovering the World of Daxing" micro-vacation brand. Over 500 postings have been shared across the platforms such as Douyin, Kuaishou, Xiaohongshu, and WeChat, garnering more than 50 million Internet views. The initiative has directly led to over 50,000 group purchase orders and generated a new sales revenue of over RMB 10 million. The district has also launched innovative cultural and tourist destination marketing programs, collaborating with over 80 quality cultural and tourism enterprises in the district and organizing multiple national tourist challenge activities. More than 70,000 people have participated in short video creation, with a dissemination volume exceeding 350 million times, reflecting a growing economic empowerment of the cultural tourism industry in the district.
Discovering the World of Sports in Daxing and Embracing the New Soft Power of Sports
Daxing has been identifying new opportunities in sports, integrating its cultural resources, creating new sports IPs, and organizing a variety of sporting events to inject new impetus into the development of mass sports in the district. Over the past three years, Daxing has hosted over 370 online and offline sports events, reaching an audience of over 950,000. The "Joyful Running in Daxing" Half Marathon, renowned for its professional event design, operational management, and cultural promotion, has been held seven times, and is now recognized as the gold standard for sporting events in Daxing. Additionally, the Shanglin "Up" Equestrian Tournament, organized by the Shanglin Equestrian Central Park in Beijing, has grown into one of the premier equestrian events in Beijing, and even in the entire nation, attracting 400,000 riders, on-site spectators, and domestic and foreign tourists each season.
