On May 15, an exhibition featuring several of the award-winning works of the Colorful World International Youth Painting Invitational Exhibition was unveiled at the ring corridor between the second and third floors of the main exhibition area of Beijing Science Center. The works themed on the Beijing Olympic Winter Games, the protection of biological diversity, and the promotion of cultural communication and protection of world's cultural heritage were acclaimed by numerous visitors.

The Colourful World International Youth Painting Invitational Exhibition, jointly hosted by Beijing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, Beijing Women's Federation, etc., has been held for three consecutive years. So far, the invitational exhibition has received over 120,000 paintings from teenagers from over 100 countries, seeing the participation of more than 3,000 Chinese and foreign friendship associations, overseas Chinese groups, educational institutions and art institutions, and successfully attracting 200,000 teenagers and their families to take part in. The invitational exhibition has also established its presence overseas by organizing exhibitions in more than 10 countries including Australia, Canada, Greece, the United Kingdom and the United States. It is also noteworthy that the invitational exhibition has been featured in more than 5,000 pieces of news from Chinese and foreign media outlets so far, with a total of 3,658 artworks awarded following evaluations.

This time, Beijing Science Center and Beijing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries have selected 88 amazing works for the exhibition! These works demonstrate the incredible diversity of civilizations around the globe and build consensus regarding cooperation for win-win results, harmony and coexistance, and shared prosperity of civilizations.

This exhibition also aims to present different sides of a colourful world to the teenagers in Beijing, and encourage Chinese and foreign teenagers to embrace their dreams and live up to their youth. The young generations worldwide are expected to contribute to the cultural exchanges among the different civilizations, to build a colourful, harmonious world and foster a harmonious future for all.
