Visitors may tour the memorial by appointment.

Mei Lanfang Memorial has reopened following renovations to the former residence of this Peking Opera master. The renovated complex is divided into three parts: the main courtyard, the outer courtyard, and the western courtyard. The main courtyard retains the original look of the residence, with furnishing restored in the reception room, study, bedroom, and living room. The east and west wing rooms house special exhibitions, while the outer courtyard hosts thematic exhibitions. The western courtyard encompasses an exhibition venue and a gift store.

The east side room of the residence offers an audio-visual experience with classic recordings of Mei Lanfang's performances, featuring vinyl record players and phonograph records. The west side room provides an interactive experience through multimedia installations, including electronic wearable devices and facial recognition technology.

To further promote the artistic tradition of the Mei school, the memorial has launched two exhibitions. The permanent exhibition on Mei Lanfang's art and life features nearly 200 photos and 85 objects, many displayed for the first time. A special art exhibition commemorating the 130th anniversary of Mei Lanfang's birth showcases 34 exhibits, reflecting his journey as a painter, calligrapher, and collector, and highlighting the creativity in his artistic pursuits.
