Light rail: Cross Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area

The construction of Yizhuang Light Rail started in 2007 and was completed in 2010. With stations in the four districts of Fengtai, Chaoyang, Daxing and Tongzhou, the 23.8 km Yizhuang Light Rail crosses Beijing's Nanwuhuanlu and ends at Yizhuang Railway Station in the eastern part of the district.

The light rail has become an express passenger corridor between Yizhuang's new town and downtown.

Highway: The available standard highways and expressways are 15,000 km long.

Yizhuang Economic-Technological Development Area has three arterial roads to downtown Beijing.

Water transport: 140 km away from the largest international trading port in Northern China

Tianjin New Port (Tianjin Xingang) is the largest comprehensive international trading port in North China. It is connected to more than 300 ports in over 170 countries and territories around the world and owns China's second largest container terminal, with an annual throughput of one million TEU. Beijing-Tianjin-Tanggu Expressway also connects with Yizhuang Economic-Technological Development Area.

Aviation: Only 25 km drive from global trip

The park is 25 km away from the Beijing Capital International Airport.

Railway: Situated in the railway central hub

The Yizhuang Economic-Technological Development Area has easy access to Beijing Railway Station, Beijing West Railway Station, Beijing South Railway Station and Beijing North Railway Station.

Community services

The development area has set up customs, industrial and commercial, taxation, drug administrations, public security and other government service institutions. Experts' apartments, youth hostels, bonded warehouses, post offices, telecommunications office, financial service and fire control centers are also available for people living in the park.

Educational institutions: There are bilingual kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, vocational education institutes and the Beijing International Art School in the development area.

Medical institutions: The development area has an international hospital, a branch of Beijing Tongren Hospital, community health stations and other medical institutions.

Residential communities: A residential area of two million square meters, with a 40 percent greenbelt area coverage, caters for the need of employees in the development area.

Catering and entertainment: The development area has star-rated hotels and many entertainment venues, which may provide accommodation, catering and entertainment services for companies and individuals.

Leisure and recreation: The golf course, international entertainment center, Elk Garden International Exchange Center, living quarters, a park between the public building area and the industrial area, and an international corporate culture park may provide leisure and recreational services for companies and individuals.

Environment suitable for residence and business

Yizhuang Economic-Technological Development Area is an ISO14000 national demonstration area and Beijing's first water conservation demonstration area. The area's sewage treatment ratio and the ratio of safe disposal of hazardous wastes in the area are both fully maintained.

The development area has started the construction of a 666.67-hectare riverside forest park to develop a beautiful and livable environment. In 2009, the development area took the lead in Beijing to initiate a state-level eco-industrial demonstration zone to enhance its regional overall strength. On December 30, 2010, the zone passed the technical assessment of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Science and Technology.

Life in Yizhuang Economic-Technological Development Area is convenient. There are shopping centers, restaurants, schools, hospitals, sports grounds and clubs in the area. The international schools, clinics, chain convenience stores will also be introduced to the area in the near future.
