A celebration event themed "Dreaming of the Palace" was held to mark the first anniversary of the opening of Beijing Gold Lacquer Inlay Art Museum (hereinafter referred to as the "Museum") on August 27.
Inside the Museum, Hu Xin, the fifth-generation heir of the Imperial Workshop of the Qing Dynasty, explains the production process of gold lacquer inlay painting.
During the event celebrating the first anniversary of the opening of the Museum, the section "Nighttime Debut at the Museum" was also launched, providing the visitors with chances to observe the collections up close and take photos. Meanwhile, two first-class art and craft masters of Beijing, Hu Xin and Li Delun, who are respectively the fifth and sixth-generation heirs of the Imperial Workshop of the Qing Dynasty, demonstrated their skills on-site and made the production techniques of gold lacquer inlay paintings relive.
