Sanxingdui Cultural Relics Appeared in Beijing Municipal Administrative Center with 46 First-Class National Cultural Relics!

On June 27, the exhibition "Unveiling Sanxingdui of Ancient Shu Civilization" opened at Halls 1 and 2 of the Grand Canal Museum of Beijing(the Capital Museum East Branch). This exhibition is free of charge and open to all visitors without reservation. Visitors are required to present valid identification for on-site verification and security checks before entering.

A special highlight is the VR immersive exhibition "Sanxingdui Adventure!", which requires an admission fee. Using autostereoscopy  technology, this section immerses viewers in a vivid and realistic ancient Shu world.

The exhibition gathers 265 sets of cultural relics related to the ancient Shu civilization, which are organized into three sections, gradually unveiling the mysteries of this ancient culture. Among the exhibits are magnificent bronze statues, mysterious bronze masks, and dazzling bronze heads adorned with gold foil, showcasing the wisdom and creativity of the ancient Shu people and highlighting the splendid history of Chinese civilization spanning five thousand years.

This exhibition, co-curated by the Beijing Capital Museum, the Grand Canal Museum of Beijing, Sichuan Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, Sanxingdui Museum in Guanghan of Sichuan Province, and Jinsha Site Museum in Chengdu, will run until October 10.

Throughout the exhibition, these museums will also jointly launch a series of Sanxingdui-themed cultural and creative products, including artworks and daily necessities inspired by the Sanxingdui cultural relics.
