2024 Beijing Inbound Tourism Development Conference Held: Shougang Park Gains High Praise from Tourism Enterprises of Multiple Countries

The 2024 Beijing Inbound Tourism Development Conference was recently launched at Shougang Park.

As the first stop of the familiarization tour for this conference, Shougang Park received praise from attending guests. After strolling on the approximately 2.9-kilometer-long High Line Park, a new leisure option for those who enjoy walking above the ground. Yin Qiuyan from Australia expressed her excitement, saying: "This event is fantastic. Prior to our visit, we did not possess much knowledge of Shougang Park. After visiting and learning more about it, we are amazed by its transformation. Formerly a steel factory, it is now a fashionable area. Looking down from the High Line Park, the vegetation is abundant and the environment is exceptionally pleasant. I can't wait to recommend this place to others."

Brian Linden from the United States couldn't help but applaud when he stepped onto the Big Air Shougang. Formerly a correspondent for CBS in China, Linden now runs a cultural and tourism company in the country. He said that what attracted people to Shougang Park most was the confidence in revitalizing old resources with new vitality. He further commented that Shougang Park has done a great job in this regard.

Helen Katharine Clark from Australia said at the 40-meter-high observation platform of the No.3 Blast Furnace: "I am very surprised by the transformation of the No.3 Blast Furnace. The transformation project of Shougang Park retains the local industrial heritage while integrating modern elements, providing visitors with entirely new experiences."

At the No. 1 Blast Furnace - SoReal Science Fiction Paradise in Shougang Park, Dr. Abe Korn from the United States said: "It's very novel and unique here, this sci-fi park combines industrial elements with new functions, allowing visitors to revisit the past and glimpse into the future. It's very interesting."

Madison Kayleigh Timson from Australia commented: "Turning a blast furnace into a large theme park is something I have never seen before. Experiencing a journey through time and space in an old blast furnace in a factory is a very advanced and interesting concept." She expressed her desire to share the story of Shougang Park with others to make it known to more people, so as to attract more visitors.
