Recently, the China Metaverse Conference 2023 (CMC 2023), a sub-event of ZGC Forum, took place in the curling venue of Shougang Park.

 

Applacation scenarios unveiled

At the conference, the top ten 2023 metaverse application scenarios of Shijingshan were introduced and promoted, including the Shougang Park No. 1 Blast Furnace - SoReal Science Fiction Paradise, Metaverse Experience Center in Hall 10 of Shougang Park with advanced technology innovation and application, and the Shougang online entrance to metaverse and other projects.

 

Incubation achievement released

An XR digital factory called "Xing Chuang" is successfully established. It is the latest achievement made on the basis of the first batch of Beijing's internationalized leading benchmark incubators, centering on chip design, computational optics, and holographic communication and other major areas of metaverse. Meanwhile, it also focuses on the industry of large-scale artificial intelligence model and other emerging trends, calling for the joint promotion of metaverse industry's in-depth integration and rapid development.

 

Technology center inaugurated

With the firm support from Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, Administrative Commission of Zhongguancun Science Park, and the Shijingshan District People's Government of Beijing Municipality, a municipal generic technology platform of light field was established in Shougang Park to research and develop advanced technology of light field imaging and computing, and to build a large-scale light field imaging system and a large-scale database of light fields. Utilizing and upgrading the curling venue of Shougang Park with an area of 7,000 square meters, the platform, has built the MAC metaverse performing arts production and broadcasting technology center in 2023, which will provide leading metaverse production and broadcast services for digital performing arts in China.

 

Laboratories settled

State Key Laboratory of Virtual Reality Technology and Systems and the National Engineering Laboratory of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality of Beihang University will create innovation spaces in Zhonghai Hongrun Building, Shijingshan District to boost the original innovation and integrated innovation of virtual reality and Web 3.0.

 

Industry organization established

At the conference, China Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, Shanghai Technical Institute of Electronics and Information, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication, and Luster, through resources coordination and strength combination, jointly set up a national industry-education integrated community of Industry 4.0.
