Beijingtong App now has its latest version 3.5 available on Apple's App Store and major Android app stores. The new version has introduced some additional functions including online applications for electronic copies of medical certificates of birth.

A new module "Live Interaction" has been added to the homepage and includes four different functions: Scanner, One-Stop Service Code, Citizen Hotline and E-Cards & Certificates. In the recommended services module, there are 9 frequently used services such as Government Service Hall, Residence Permit Application, Health Kit and Hospital Registration Appointment which are clear at a glance.

Within the latest Beijingtong App, 6 service modules have been developed which focus on COVID-19 prevention and control, government affairs, medical services, transportation, culture and tourism, and district-level services. Frequently used services are arranged in each module in a card-like design, providing a more efficient and convenient service experience. New to the version 3.5 of the application is that users can now apply online for a medical certificate of birth. Starting April 20, 2021, providing relevant conditions are met, parents of newborns in Beijing-based midwifery institutions can use their valid ID cards to apply online for their child’s medical certificate of birth, all without leaving home.
