A fascinating exhibition "See You Again, Huizong : Special Exhibition of the Twelve Flower Deities" is now open at the Tianqiao Impression Museum. This unique showcase, which runs from October 20, focuses on the Song Dynasty's unique relationship with floral motifs and includes sections on "Ritual and Floral Vessels," "Song Dynasty Floral Patterns," and "Song-style Floral Arrangement Aesthetics." The exhibition vividly portrays the elegant aesthetics and lifestyle of the Song Dynasty, as exemplified by Emperor Huizong, and features numerous interactive elements. It is open from 11:00 to 20:00, Tuesday through Sunday.

As you explore the exhibit, you'll encounter the "Twelve Flower Deities," with each month associated with a specific flower: January's plum blossom, February's apricot, March's peach...  Through a thoughtful selection of stunning Song Dynasty porcelain, poetry, paintings, and silk embroidery, this exhibition celebrates the aesthetic and cultural importance of flowers in Chinese art.

The exhibition features several interactive installations that allow visitors to touch ancient porcelain fragments, listen to expert commentary, and participate in hands-on activities such as flower arranging and textile dyeing.

A definite highlight of the exhibition is the collection of six exquisite silk embroideries with intricate floral designs that represent the pinnacle of Song Dynasty artistry. Preserving silk over time is an incredibly challenging task, making this display a must-see treasure. Among the vases on display are several rare artifacts, including a paper spindle-shaped vase and a pear-shaped spring vase from the Ru kiln, a two-eared vase from the official kilns of the Song Dynasty, and a Cong-style vase from the official kilns of the Southern Song Dynasty.

This summer, the museum also offers a VR immersive theater and live performances of traditional Chinese crafts that are part of China's intangible cultural heritage. Opening hours are extended until 20:00.

Located at 7 Tianqiao South Street, Beijing Tianqiao Museum spans over 3,000 square meters and features permanent exhibition spaces, temporary exhibition areas, and spaces for hosting cultural and creative activities.
