Recently, the comprehensive upgrading project of the area around the new Beijing Workers' Stadium in the Sanlitun business district was officially completed.
Centered around the new Beijing Workers' Stadium, the project covered the surrounding areas along Gongti North Road, Gongti East Road, Gongti West Road, and Gongti South Road. It included four major renovation components: streetscape upgrade of the streets near the stadium, improvement of the square landscapes of the key business districts, renovation and improvement of green isolation belts, and the beautification of the surrounding landscapes of old residential communities. This area is home to major commercial buildings such as Taikoo Li Sanlitun, Sanlitun SOHO, Shimao Plaza Gongsan, and Topwin Center.

The project was officially launched in September 2023, with Gongti North Road as its central axis and Xindong Road and Sanlitun as secondary axes, creating synergy between the Gongti and Taikoo Li business districts. The overall plan followed the structure of "one horizontal and two vertical axes" along major urban roads.
The project has now been completed, with the green isolation belts along the roads involved having been fully planted, and the spaces at the corners and in front of the street-facing shops of the China Red Street have been renovated. Landscape sculptures for the China Red Street have been officially unveiled, and additional resting spaces have been added along the street. Furthermore, green plants have also been planted in areas such as the plaza south of Wynn International, the southern side of Beisanli Community, and the pedestrian walkway stretching from the east gate of Beijing Workers' Stadium to Gongti North Road.
