On December 21, Haidian Joy City, located adjacent to the north branch of the Palace Museum, will open to the public. The mall is expected to house over 280 brands, with about 20 percent of them opening their inaugural stores there.

It is reported that the mall's catering sector includes McDonald's first LUNA-themed restaurant in Haidian, Dayali's first restaurant in a mall in Beijing, Heweichuan's first restaurant in Beijing, and Weimiao Shunde Kitchen's newly upgraded 4.0 exclusive store. The retail sector includes BENLAI's first store in Haidian, CAMEL's first flagship store in Beijing, and more. Additionally, the first Milai Zhishi Yuzhou bookstore in northern Haidian, the first store of City Hero (a game store) in Beijing, and Ninebot GoKart's first flagship store in northern China are among the lifestyle and entertainment businesses to further meet the social needs of families with children.

After opening on December 21, activities such as exhibition of copyrighted products, traditional Chinese style performances, music festivals, figure skating performances, open fairs, and those related to winter sports will also take place. Among them, the first exhibition of "Pixel World @ The British Library" in Beijing will offer a one-stop tour of the history of human civilization over 2,000 years. The mall will also collaborate with China Post, National Geographic, and other entities to host various pop-up activities such as the "Space Post Office", and pop-up activities featuring Menglan (a famous giant panda) and "My Little Pony".
