In the first three quarters of 2024, a total of 717 first stores, as well as flagship stores and innovative concept stores, of numerous brands opened in Beijing, covering various sectors such as retail, dining, and leisure entertainment. Their establishment injected fresh vitality into the capital's commercial environment.
With the continuous upgrading of the consumer market, in addition to various first stores of local Chinese brands introduced to commercial projects, many international brands have launched their first stores in the city. Among the 717 first stores, 105 are from international brands, indicating a 40-percent increase compared with the same period last year, many of which are their global flagship stores and concept stores.
Key commercial districts remain popular choices for international brands entering the Chinese market. Tom Ford's first flagship store in China has opened at the China World Mall, and the Belgian luxury leather brand Delvaux opened its first flagship store in the Chinese mainland at WF Central. The presence of high-end brands not only highlights the attractiveness of Beijing's consumer market, but also offers consumers more international shopping options.
It is expected that in the fourth quarter of this year, with the opening of malls such as Yizhuang Longyuecheng[Y1] and Haidian Joy City, more new flagship stores will bring vitality to the market. It is scheduled that roughly 800 new first stores, flagship stores, and innovative concept stores will open in Beijing throughout the year.
