The 9th China Original Drama Invitational Exhibition officially opened on March 21, and the performances will be staged until September. Selected dramas from troupes across the country will be presented in the theatre, small theatre and pioneer theatre of the National Theatre of China, the Capital Theatre, and the National Centre for the Performing Arts.

The invitational exhibition was initiated in 2015. This year, the productions intended for large theatres will focus on life-related choices of the times, while the small theatre plays will embrace diverse forms.

Staying true to its commitment to accessibility, this year's event continues to offer affordable tickets, with about half of them priced below CNY 100 each. And eight performances are prepared for students. What's more, ten "Meet the Masters" events will provide the audience with opportunities to talk face-to-face with the creative teams, sharing their feelings and stories behind the scenes.
