Beijing Embroidery flourished during the Ming and Qing dynasties, primarily used for the adorning of royal palaces and clothing and known for its meticulous choice of materials and elegant aesthetic. Historically, a significant portion of Beijing Embroidery garments were crafted for the imperial court, serving emperors, and nobles, which earned it the title "Palace Embroidery." In addition, it is regarded as one of the "Eight Marvels of Yanjing."

The design of Beijing Embroidery is renowned for its intricate beauty and lifelike depictions, emphasizing the importance of patience and precision in craftsmanship. Its design adheres to the principle that "each pattern must convey meaning, and every motif must symbolize auspiciousness," with every single stitch and thread weaving a narrative of blessings and good fortune.
