Langfang City Terminal at the Beijing Capital International Airport (BCIA) started trial operation on February 20. It is the airport's first city terminal with a full range of services outside Beijing. As an important measure of the BCIA to facilitate integrated transportation across Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, the trial operation has expanded the terminal's services, making it China's first city terminal that serves two municipalities (Beijing and Tianjin) and three airports (BCIA, Beijing Daxing International Airport and Tianjin Binhai International Airport).
Langfang City Terminal is located in Langfang Economic and Technical Development Zone, neighboring major traffic routes such as the Beijing-Shanghai Expressway and the Beijing-Tianjin Expressway. The terminal opens from 5:30 to 20:00 (baggage check-in service available from 5:30 to 19:30), providing passengers with smooth airport services of check-in, security screening, baggage check-in, and airport buses.
Currently, passengers taking domestic flights of Air China, China Eastern Airlines, Hainan Airlines, Sichuan Airlines, Grand China Air, Dalian Airlines and Jiangxi Air, which depart from the BCIA, can check in at the terminal. For flights leaving from the Terminal 3 and Terminal 2, check-in closes 3.5 hours and 4 hours respectively before departure.
The bus route between Langfang and the BCIA has been opened as the trial operation has commenced at the terminal. The buses operate from 5:30 to 19:30 at Langfang City Terminal and from 8:30 to 22:30 at the BCIA, with a departure interval of 60 minutes and a ticket price of CNY 60 per person. Passengers with tickets for flights arriving at or departing from the BCIA can take the airport bus for free on the day.
