Starting from December 1,311 ports for water, air, railway and highway transports across China began to use new signs for immigration inspection spots at open ports. The "CHINA IMMIGRATION INSPECTION" signs were replaced by the new signs of "CHINA IMMIGRATION". At present, the new signs have been used at the immigration inspection spots at Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 of Beijing Capital International Airport and at Beijing Daxing International Airport.

The new signs fall into two categories: the main sign and the functional signs. The main sign consists of the logo of the National Immigration Administration and the words "CHINA IMMIGRATION" in both Chinese and English, representing an immigration inspection spot. When visitors see this sign, it means that they have arrived at an immigration inspection spot, where they should present their documents and materials required for exit and entry and go through customs procedures in an orderly manner.

The functional signs are those indicating the relevant channels and facilities, and those serving as reminders and guides. There are a total of 70 such signs in six categories, including signs for channels such as "Chinese Nationals" and "Foreigners", and signs for public areas, workplaces, facilities, reminders, dissuasion and guidance.
