On March 13, a special event of the "Foreign Journalists Experiencing Beijing 2025" series was held in the Beijing Municipal Administrative Center (Beijing MC). The event brought together 50 foreign journalists from 45 countries.
The journalists watched a promotional video at the Beijing "Two Zones" Reception Hall, gaining a comprehensive knowledge of the innovative practices and opening-up achievements of Beijing MC in the development of the "Two Zones" (the Integrated National Demonstration Zone for Opening up the Services Sector and the China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone).

The journalists also took a boat tour along the Grand Canal, indulging in the beautiful scenery where modern buildings and natural landscapes complement each other. Many started live streaming during the tour.

At Beijing Library, the journalists ascended the stairs and shuttled between the valley-like reading area and the glass curtain wall, marveling at the wonderful integration of knowledge and aesthetics.
At a special promotional session, they gained insights into the progress Beijing has made in its planning and construction of its MC, the development of competitive industries, and the layout of key projects, among other achievements, of Beijing MC. Companies striving to enter overseas markets also made promotional presentations during the session.

At the key enterprises in Beijing MC, the journalists observed the dual-purpose energy cabins for both emergency and daily use, outdoor flexible automatic charging robots, and other facilities, experiencing the convenience brought by technologies to urban life and the infinite possibilities of the future. Abdullah Ali Abdullah al-Bawri from Suhail TV in Yemen was strongly amazed by the robot’s smooth operation. He admired China’s remarkable achievements in artificial intelligence and robotics, and noted that this also presented many opportunities for Yemen.

The journalists also visited the Beijing Oriental Treasure (Dongfang Yizhen) Filigree Inlay Factory, where they closely observed and learned about the exquisite craftsmanship of the traditional filigree and inlay techniques. They all expressed that this was not only an experience of craftsmanship but also an in-depth dialogue with traditional Chinese culture.
