Black storks, rare migratory birds, were recently found by wildlife photographer near Yongding River in Mentougou District of Beijing.
Instead of flocking southward in winter, the national-level protected birds chose to stay in Beijing despite the dropping temperature, thanks to the well-conserved ecological environment, according to Beijing Daily.
