"Dancing Dongcheng · Scent of Books" Old Books for Coffee was recently launched by the CPC Dongcheng District Committee's Publicity Department in partnership with Jixiang Theater’s "Old Books, New Knowledge", as a significant part of the "Dancing Central Axis" Dongcheng Dance Culture Tour.

During this dance tour at the opera-themed coffee shop called "Jixiang Theater · Mood In Rouge Coffee" at Jixiang Theater, attendees can exchange their used and unwanted books for a cup of exclusive coffee during this dance tour at the opera-themed coffee. The facility is closed on Mondays, but the festival will continue until late December.

Jixiang Theater · Mood In Rouge Coffee, located in the lobby of Jixiang Theater, which offers a wonderful panoramic view of the scenery of the ancient capital, overlooking the golden glazed tiles of Forbidden City and the Wanchun Pavilion of Jingshan Hill. 


Tips: Readers can only exchange old books, with all pages intact, that are regularly published by domestic publishers, that can be re-distributed as classic reading materials. These old books should be at least 80% new in appearance and with a minimum of 200 pages. The subjects can vary and include literature, history, philosophy, archaeology, the arts, calligraphy. Books about Beijing's history and culture are preferred.

Please note: there is a limited of 100 cups of coffee, one cup per person, first come, first served, until the stock runs out.
