Inbound travelers are filling out their Arrival Cards in Beijing.
November 8 was the first day of the trial period of China's latest visa-free entry policy for nine countries, including Andorra, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, the Republic of Korea, and Slovakia. In the first 24 hours after the policy took effect – between 00:00 on November 8 to 00:00 on November 9 (GMT+8) – the Beijing General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection handled and granted visa-free entry to over 240 travelers from countries including Denmark, Norway, the Republic of Korea and Slovakia.
Danish travelers Mr. and Mrs. Christianse arrived at Terminal 3 of Beijing Capital International Airport by flight CA960 at around 01:40 on November 8 and went through entry inspection procedures to become the first foreign nationals to enjoy the convenience of the newly implemented visa-free policy in Beijing. They were pleased that the new policy had exempted them from applying for temporary entry permits, allowing them to stay in the country longer.
As China continues to expand its network of visa-free agreements this year, more and more foreign travelers are entering China through Beijing, to explore the historical and cultural charm of this ancient capital, and have a true and multi-dimensional view of China.
