Beijing's Central Axis

Beijing's Central Axis stretches from north to south, starting at the Bell and Drum Towers, passing through Wanning Bridge, Jingshan Park, the Forbidden City, Duanmen (Gate of Uprightness), Tian'anmen, Outer Jinshui Bridge, Tian'anmen Square and its surroundings, Zhengyangmen (Gate of the Zenith Sun), the remains of the southern section of the Central Axis, and concluding at Yongdingmen Gate Tower. On either side of the axis lie the Imperial Ancestral Temple and Altar of Land and Grain to the east, and the Temple of Heaven and Altar of Agriculture to the west. For table tennis enthusiasts, Shougang Park is a must-visit destination in Beijing during the National Day holiday. From September 26 to October 6, the World Table Tennis (WTT) China Smash is being hosted at Baji Stadium, where world-class players will compete for 2,000 world ranking points.
