The National Day holiday has begun. Here is a list of must-visit places during the holiday, including everything from historic royal palaces to modern cultural landmarks and world-class theme parks. Explore the ancient and modern charm of Beijing with this selection.

Beijing's Central Axis

Beijing's Central Axis stretches from north to south, starting at the Bell and Drum Towers, passing through Wanning Bridge, Jingshan Park, the Forbidden City, Duanmen (Gate of Uprightness), Tian'anmen, Outer Jinshui Bridge, Tian'anmen Square and its surroundings, Zhengyangmen (Gate of the Zenith Sun), the remains of the southern section of the Central Axis, and concluding at Yongdingmen Gate Tower. On either side of the axis lie the Imperial Ancestral Temple and Altar of Land and Grain to the east, and the Temple of Heaven and Altar of Agriculture to the west. During the holiday, take a journey through time along Beijing's Central Axis to experience the unique and magnificent order of the city.

Shougang Park

For table tennis enthusiasts, Shougang Park is a must-visit destination in Beijing during the National Day holiday. From September 26 to October 6, the World Table Tennis (WTT) China Smash is being hosted at Baji Stadium, where world-class players will compete for 2,000 world ranking points. After enjoying the matches, you can visit the Moshikou Historical and Cultural District, stroll along the Camel Bell Ancient Road, and immerse yourself in the city's historical heritage.
