On April 10, theparticipants of the2024 "Daka China - Opportunities in Beijing" Online International Communication Event toured Tongzhou District, which is also known as "Beijing Municipal Administrative Center". Representatives of the media outletsfrom Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Romania, Slovenia, and other Central and Eastern European countries, as well as correspondents from the European and Latin American Languages Programming Center of China Media Group, visited some key locations in Beijing's urban development, including the Integrated Transportation Hub project at Beijing Municipal Administrative Center Railway Station, Beijing Library, the Grand Canal Museum of Beijing, and Beijing Performing Arts Center. Together they learned aboutthe city's new chapter in the high-quality development in the new era.

The construction of the Integrated Transportation Hub at Beijing Municipal Administrative Center Railway Station, a local pivotal project, is making steady progress. A technical team is advancing the project's full lifecycle digital transformation through digital empowerment, and has established an intelligent construction platform, and a project database based on a BIM-based foundational digital technology platform, aiming to achieve platform-based and digital management control throughout the construction processof the project.

Anita Buhovski, a journalist from "Faktor" news website based in North Macedonia, shared her findings: "The new hub will cut travel time to Beijing Capital International Airport to 15 minutes, and that to Beijing Daxing International Airport to 35 minutes, and make Tianjin and Hebei reachable within an hour. I also hoped that Chinese technologies would be introduced to my country in the future and that collaborative ties would be fostered for the development of the transportation sector in North Macedonia."

In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation of Chinese and international media outlets toured the three key cultural landmarks in Beijing Municipal Administrative Center, namely the Grand Canal Museum of Beijing, Beijing Library, and Beijing Performing Arts Center.

The Grand Canal Museum of Beijing draws its design inspiration from the elements of the paintings featuring the ancient canals in China, such asboats, sails and water. The museum houses a diverse array of exhibits, including physical objects, pictures, and models. Pavleta Davidova, a journalist of the Bulgarian newspaper 24 Chasa, commented after her museum visit: "The exhibits vividly illustrate the historical features of the Grand Canal and the local customs along it."

Beijing Library, home to a collection of eight million volumes, has the world's largest single reading space and the largest collection among China's intelligent three-dimensional libraries. The delegation marveled at its transparent, luminous architectural splendor, and witnessed the beauty of wisdom augmented by technologies.

Beijing Performing Arts Center encompasses an opera house, a concert hall, a drama theater, a small theater, and an outdoor amphitheater. It is planned to stage annually 650 performances and host 600 activities over a five-year development phase. Stan-Emanuel Neacsu, TVR's international news editor, set a personal goal during his visit: "After learningthat Beijing Performing Arts Center will draw top-tier artists for future artistic exchanges, I will return for another performance as a viewer".
