Registration has begun for the 14th Beijing International Mountain Walking Festival in 2023! Individuals and groups can now register online through the official website (www.bjwalking.com) or the official WeChat account (Organizing Committee of Beijing International Mountain Walking Festival). Walkers can choose one of the following routes: the 20-kilometer Historical Monument Route, the 22-kilometer Ecological Walking Route, or the 24-kilometer Scenic Ancient Village Route.
The three routes are designed respectively for enjoying the revolutionary history, giving walkers the best possible vantage points for natural scenery, and visiting ancient villages and temples in Mentougou District. There are also various different commercial stops along the way.
The Historical Monument Route is a round trip of about 20 kilometers, which aims to promote revolutionary culture based on ecological values. The route will pass through Malan Village, a charming holiday town.
The Ecological Walking Route is a round trip of about 22 kilometers, which aims to promote aesthetic culture based on ecological values. The highest elevation of the route is nearly 1,000 meters.
The Scenic Ancient Village Route is a round trip of about 24 kilometers, which aims to promote living culture based on ecological values. The route runs through three villages in Cuanbai Scenic Area.
The 14th Beijing International Mountain Walking Festival is scheduled to be held in Zhaitang Town, Mentougou District, Beijing in September 2023.
