Recently, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Beijing Sub-council (CCPIT Beijing) released its upcoming investment promotion projects.

The 2023 Exhibition of ZGC Forum (China Beijing International High-Tech Expo) is scheduled to be held by CCPIT Beijing from May 26 to 30. This is a major event for international exchanges on science, technology and innovation, and aims to gather cutting-edge sci-tech innovation elements from around the globe. The event will feature exhibitions, promotional activities, and negotiations, to promote exchanges and cooperation among high-tech enterprises and effectively support Beijing's efforts to build itself into an international center for scientific and technological innovation.

In early June, an economic and trade delegation of Beijing will be organized and sent to Argentina and Chile to conduct international economic and trade cooperation while also exploring investment opportunities. The delegation will engage with various entities such as trade and investment promotion agencies, chambers of commerce, and enterprises of the two countries. The delegation will organize two Beijing International Economic and Trade Promotion Fairs in Buenos Aires and Santiago, the capitals of the two countries, respectively, aimed at fostering in-depth exchanges and cooperation.

In mid-October, representatives of relevant enterprises will form a delegation to China's Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) for the Macao International Trade and Investment Fair. The primary objective of the delegation will be to enhance industrial cooperation between Beijing and Macao SAR in line with the focuses set for their economic and trade partnership in 2023. Furthermore, the delegation will work to expand economic and trade collaboration with Portuguese-speaking countries and regions.

In early November, the 16th China-LAC Business Summit will take place in Beijing, featuring themed forums on the digital economy, agricultural product cooperation, cultural tourism, and green economy. There will be supporting activities such as the Roundtable Conference of the China-LAC Trade Promotion Organizations, the China-LAC Enterprise Matchmaking Fair, and the High-quality Exhibition for China-LAC Enterprises to expand the scale and optimize the structure of China-LAC trade.

To date, CCPIT Beijing has established a network of overseas cooperation covering 224 relevant institutions and international business associations across 92 countries and regions. In 2023, Beijing will arrange, in a well-organized manner, trips to key industrial parks established for the development of the Integrated National Demonstration Zone for Opening up the Services Sector and the China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone ("Two Zones" for short) in Beijing for visiting overseas delegations, foreign chambers of commerce in Beijing, trade and investment promotion departments of the foreign embassies in China, and major foreign-funded enterprises. The aim is to help them better understand Beijing and encourage investment in the city. In the future, Beijing will highlight the exchanges with countries and regions along the Belt and Road as well as members of the RCEP to broaden channels for international exchanges and cooperation and promote investment in Beijing.
