Beijing's cultural resources and the location and policy advantages of the Beijing Tianzhu Comprehensive Bonded Zone have turned the National Base for International Cultural Trade (Beijing) into an important window for international cultural trade. At present, bonded artworks imported into the Tianzhu Comprehensive Bonded Zone through the Beijing Capital International Airport Port account for nearly one third of such imports of the country and the number of cultural relics imported for half, with Beijing becoming the main port for the recovery of cultural relics from overseas.

With the policy advantages of the Integrated National Demonstration Zone for Opening up the Services Sector and the China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone, the Beijing Customs District has fully taken advantage of the policies for special customs regulation regions to simplify approval and regulatory procedures for artworks in the comprehensive bonded zone. In addition, the Beijing Customs District has innovatively cooperated with cultural relics departments for joint regulation and appraisal, and established an artwork "cloud regulation" database with artificial intelligence and pattern-based recognition technology, helping the Beijing Tianzhu Comprehensive Bonded Zone take the lead in openness and innovation in artwork trade and the recovery of cultural relics.
