About the venue:

China International Exhibition Center (Jing'anzhuang Branch; CIEC Jing'anzhuang Branch) is the first state-level exhibition venue approved for construction by the State Council, and ranks first among Beijing's top 10 buildings of the 1980s. Upon its completion in 1985, the Asia-Pacific International Trade Fair was held here, which unveiled the prelude to the vigorous development of China's modern exhibition industry after implementation of the reform and opening-up policy, and effectively drove and promoted the rapid development of China's exhibition industry, especially playing a positive and significant role in promoting the reform and opening up, the domestic and international economic and technological exchange and trade, as well as the improvement of the socialist market economic system. 

CIEC Jing'anzhuang Branch has 8 exhibition halls with a total indoor exhibition area of over 60,000 square meters and an outdoor exhibition area of 7,000 square meters. After more than 30 years of development, the venue accommodates nearly 100 exhibitions and events every year, with an accumulated total exhibition area of more than 2 million square meters, which makes it a professional exhibition venue that is most attractive to the exhibition industry, widely acknowledged by domestic and foreign exhibitors, and enjoys the highest occupancy rate. Upon completion and operation of the Tianzhu Branch (Phase I) in 2008, the synergy of two venues show the overall strength increasingly in terms of professional management and integrated operation. The Jing'anzhuang Branch has also been acting as an incubator by fostering and transferring large-scale exhibition projects to the Tianzhu Branch.
