The National Natural History Museum of China, formerly known as the Beijing Museum of Natural History, is the only national and comprehensive natural history museum in China. The museum has a collection of more than 370,000 pieces, and the number of rare specimens ranks first in domestic natural history museums; In recent years, the museum has published more than ten papers in international academic journals Nature and Science, and won more than ten important awards such as the first prize of the Beijing Science and Technology Award; Temporary exhibitions and touring exhibitions with different themes are launched every year; Many popular science education activities, such as "Museum Night" and "Little commentator", have formed characteristic brands. The National Natural History Museum of China is the first museum to plan and launch these activities in China.
