The Tsinghua University Art Museum was inaugurated in December 2015 and officially opened to the public on September 10, 2016. A collection of more than 13,000 pieces covers six major categories: calligraphy and painting, embroidery, porcelain, furniture, bronze wares, and comprehensive artworks. The vast majority of the collections come from the Academy of Arts & Design, which has been gathered since 1956, as well as donations from Tsinghua alumni and social elites.
