Beijing Hutong Zhang Folk Art Museum is located in Wanping Ancient City in Fengtai District, where you can appreciate the streets of the old capital, play childhood games, and enjoy Xipi and Erhuang, the two main musical styles of Beijing opera. It is a place full of Beijing flavors.

The museum has an exhibition area of more than 600 sqm, housing a collection of nearly 1,000 traditional handicrafts and toys from all over Beijing and more than 100 precious photos recording historical moments. There are also the works "Taste of Peking" created by Zhang Yujun, the museum's founder, which shows the streetscape of old Beijing.

"Taste of Peking" is handmade and consists of vivid miniature models of the hutongs and resident courtyards of old Beijing. The whole piece extends 100m long, covering various shops of time-honored brands and figures, such as Black Monkey Felt Hat Shop and Bao Rui Xing Pickles Shop. It also shows the bustling scenes of the Xuanwu Temple Fair and the various occupations in the past.
Unlike other museums, Beijing Hutong Zhang Folk Art Museum also invites visitors to play childhood games such as paper tile throwing, playing Chinese jump rope, playing knucklebones, and kicking shuttlecocks, bringing back joyful childhood memories.
