► A valid passport or other international travel documents.
► A completed, printed, and signed (in black ink) VISA/ STAY PERMIT/ RESIDENCE PERMIT APPLICATION FORM, affixed with a recent passport-style photo (full-faced and bareheaded against a white background, color print, two inches, half-length).
► A valid accommodation registration form obtained from the applicant's current hotel or local police station.
► Those who are visiting their family members in Beijing must submit the following documents:
a. The valid travel documents of the foreigner residing in Beijing
b. A certificate of familial relation or kinship
i. S1 and S2 visa holders must provide a certificate letter from the family member in Beijing to prove their familial relationship, along with supporting documents such as a marriage certificate, birth certificate (or equivalent document), notarial deed, and other relevant supportive documents on their family relationship or kinship.
ii. Non-S1 or S2 visa holders must provide supportive documents on familial relationship or kinship, such as a marriage certificate, birth certificate (or equivalent document), or notarial deed. (These documents issued by foreign authorities or notary offices need to be authenticated by the Chinese embassy or consulate in the relevant country).
Note: If one or more of the above documents cannot be provided, the applicant may voluntarily provide other relevant supporting documents.
► Foreign nationals of Chinese origin who have purchased property in Beijing must submit:
a. The ownership certificate of the property registered under the applicant's name or a notarized house sales contract.
b. A certificate of deposit or bank statement.
► Foreigners who intend to receive medical aid or services in Beijing must submit a proof of hospitalization or medical services for over six months issued by a medical institute above the county-level or of 2A-class.
► Applicants who are aged above 18 and are applying for a residence permit with a validity of more than one year must provide a Certificate of Health Examination for Overseas Personnelissued by an immigration inspection and quarantine institution in China. The abovementioned health certificate is valid for six months from its date of issuance.
