On March 28, 2023, the "Brilliant Central Axis" Exhibition, guided by the Beijing Municipal Leading Group for the Building of National Cultural Center and organized by the Beijing Municipal Cultural Heritage Bureau and the Capital Museum, kicked off in the Exhibition Hall B on the first floor of the Capital Museum to commemorate the 870th anniversary of Beijing becoming the capital.
The exhibition consists of three parts: Magnificent Central Axis, Cultural Central Axis, and Eternal Central Axis. Featuring the concept of digital communication, diversified interactive experience, and new media art, the exhibition systematically introduces the historical development and conservation of the Central Axis, providing visitors with an immersive experience of the Central Axis culture.
A multimedia apparatus is in place at the entrance of the exhibition hall to display the ancient starry sky map and changes in the Chinese character "Zhong" (which means "central" in English).
