Concert of Intangible Cultural Heritage - Authentic Folk Music from Western Hunan
17:00 | Sunday | Oct 10 | INDIGO Shopping Mall
Zhang Jiajie, a scenic city in western Hunan, boasts a uniquely multifarious cultural landscape created by 33 ethnic minorities both intermingled and independent in their life.
Sangzhi Folk Song, a type of traditional music of Zhangjiajie dating back to primitive farming culture, is a folk music genre with a history of more than 2000 years, created, inherited and accumulated by generations of people in Zhangjiajie in their everyday life and labor.
Yangxi is a local traditional drama of the city. It has evolved a relatively complete theatrical system, with more than ten stylistic types with fixed tunes, such as the tragically passionate daoban (introduction), the long narrative zhenggong (main mode), the cheerful and relaxing yuediao (happy tune), and the comical and witty jinqiandiao ("money tune").
