Beijing approved the first permission for autonomous vehicles on April 28, 2022, becoming the first city worldwide to do so. Currently, autonomous minibuses have been launched in Beijing’s Sci-Tech parks, and several companies are developing autonomous vehicles with the installation of roadside sensors helped by BeiDou Navigation Satellite System which offers precise locations of autonomous vehicles. Let’s see how Beijing, a city of future, is shaped by autonomous vehicles.
