Ditan Park is the second largest among the five altars in the ancient capital of Beijing. It used to be the place where the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties worshipped the "Imperial Earth God" and is China's largest well-preserved altar of the earth. The park is home to an array of scenic spots including the Fangze Altar, the Earth God Worship House (Huangqishi), the Monumental Archway (Pailou), and the Hall of Abstinence (Zhaigong).
