Lu Xun's Former Residence is a small Siheyuan (four-side enclosed courtyard) with three standard rooms, and is the place where Lu Xun once lived from May 1924 to August 1926. The placement of objects in each room has remained the same as it was. On the east side of the residence lies the Lu Xun Museum which houses a large quantity of manuscripts and items left by Lu Xun.
