The Bell and Drum Towers are a set of ancient buildings situated at the north end of the south-north central axis of Beijing Municipality. Vertically lined up, the two towers used to be the time announcement center in the capital city in Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. They are also important buildings witnessing the history of China in the past centuries.
