The spouse and unmarried children under the age of 18 of an investor or an employee (Chinese of foreign nationality in Zhongguancun or Beijing comprehensive pilot demonstration zone for service industry’s opening-up on a larger scale, Beijing's foreign high-level talent and Chinese doctor with of foreign nationality whose annual salary income and annual payment of individual income tax in Beijing meet the prescribed criteria) may apply for permanent residence together with the investor or the employee.
1. Application materials for the spouse:
(1) 2 2-inch front bareheaded white or light blue background colored photos and electronic photo (submitted in CD).
(2) Photocopy of the valid foreign passport and visa of the applicant.
(3) Photocopy of the certificate on no criminal record in foreign country (all countries or regions that the applicant has resided continuously for more than 2 years before the date of application) (the certificate shall be certified by the Chinese embassy (consulate) in that country, or submit a certificate issued by the embassy (consulate) of that country in China, and the time the certificate is issued and the time the certificate is certified by the Chinese embassy (consulate) in the foreign country shall be within 6 months prior to the application acceptance date).
(4) Photocopy of the physical examination certificate issued by the health and quarantine department designated by the Chinese government or by a foreign medical institution certified by the Chinese embassy or consulate in that country (the exit-entry health and quarantine department designated in Beijing is the Beijing International Travel Health Care Center, and the certification shall be issued within 6 months prior to the date of acceptance).
(5) Photocopy of the "Marriage Certificate" (if married abroad, the "Marriage Certificate" shall be certified by the Chinese embassy or consulate in that country, or the certificate issued by the embassy or consulate of their country in China shall be submitted, and the time the certificate is issued and the time the certificate is certified by the Chinese embassy (consulate) in the foreign country shall be within 6 months prior to the date of acceptance).
(6) Photocopy of the valid foreign passport and "Foreigner Permanent Resident ID Card" of the investor or the employee. If applying together with the investor or the employee, the "Foreigner Permanent Resident ID Card" may not be provided.
(7) An applicant who had Chinese nationality before shall provide the photocopy of the certificate of eligibility for foreign settlement, the naturalization paper or the household certificate transcript, and the Chinese passport used for naturalization.
(8) Resume (from the age of 18 till now, the year and month shall be consecutive).
2. Application materials for the children:
(1) 2 2-inch front bareheaded white or light blue background colored photos and electronic photo (submitted in CD).
(2) Photocopy of the valid foreign passport and visa of the applicant.
(3) Photocopy of the "Birth Certificate" or "Paternity Test" (the "Birth Certificate" issued by relevant foreign institution shall be certified by the Chinese embassy or consulate in that country, or a certificate issued by the embassy or consulate of the country where the applicant is from shall be submitted).
(4) Photocopy of the parents' "Marriage Certificate" (if married abroad, the "Marriage Certificate" shall be certified by the Chinese embassy or consulate in that country, or a certificate issued by the embassy or consulate of their country in China shall be submitted; if the parents are divorced, the "Court Ruling" or "Divorce Agreement" proving that the person to be depended on has responsibility of guardianship for the applicant shall be provided).
(5) Photocopy of the identity certificates of both parents (the parent of Chinese nationality shall provide the household register and their ID card, and the parent of foreign nationality shall provide the valid passport and visa).
(6) When accepting the application of such applicant, the nationality of the applicant shall first be checked and confirmed according to the nationality law of China. If the child was born abroad and both or one of the parents is of Chinese nationality at the time of birth, the certificate of eligibility for foreign settlement obtained by one or both of the parents of Chinese nationality before the child was born shall be submitted.
(7) Photocopy of the valid foreign passport and "Foreigner Permanent Resident ID Card" of the investor or the employee. If applying together with the investor or the employee, the "Foreigner Permanent Resident ID Card" may not be provided.
(8) Parents' resume (from the age of 18 till now, the year and month shall be consecutive).
1. Certificates issued by relevant foreign institutions shall be certified by the Chinese embassy or consulate in that country.
2. Materials in foreign language must be translated into Chinese, and the translation company's official seal shall be affixed to the translation.
3. The original must be reviewed before submitting a photocopy, and a photocopy of A4 size shall be provided.
4. If the applicant needs to print the Chinese name on the "Foreigner Permanent Resident ID Card", he/she shall clearly indicate whether to print the Chinese name in the "Other Matters to be Explained" column on the application form.
5. An applicant who has not canceled the household registration in China shall apply after canceling the household registration.
