Wintersweet, known as the "first flower of spring", has entered its peak blooming season. At Beihai Park and Jingshan Park in Xicheng District, wintersweet is flourishing and other flowering species are ready to bloom. To enhance the visitors' experiences, the parks have thoughtfully released flower-viewing maps.

At Jingshan Park, wintersweet can be found east of Qiwang Tower, in the park's southwestern corner, and the Science Education Area in the western section. Visitors can follow the recommended route:

Enter through the South Gate, proceed to Qiwang Tower, explore the Science Education Area, and then head to the southwestern corner before exiting through the south gate.

After marveling at the wintersweet at Jingshan Park, visitors can exit through the west gate and head straight to Beihai Park, where Xitian Fanjing and the Jingqi Pavilion in Yong'an Temple offer stunning views of flowers.

A spectacle of spring blossoms is set to appear across parks in the city. From mid to late March, early spring plants such as winter jasmine, Asiatic cornelian cherry, weeping forsythia, Chinese wild peach, and magnolia will create a vibrant display around Jingshan Park's gates and Wanchun Pavilion. From early to mid-April, visitors can admire flowering plum, lilac, Chinese flowering crabapple, and "Beauty Plum" (Prunus × blireiana) near the park's west gate, south gate, and front hill. From mid-April to early May, Jingshan Park's signature peonies will steal the show, with over 500 varieties of peonies and 300 varieties of Chinese peonies in China and from abroad currently cultivated in the park.

In late March, Beihai Park's Xiaoxitian area will become the prime spot for viewing magnolia flowers, while the winter jasmine along Qiong Islet and the eastern bank offers its unique charm.

Taoranting Park has been cultivating a spring flower landscape centered on crabapple for over a decade. The park not only features the traditional "Four Treasures of Chinese Flowering Crabapple" but also houses a wide variety of crabapple species native to North America. From late March to mid-April, visitors can admire potted crabapple flowers located north of the central square, while from early to mid-April, the park's four main gates will be surrounded by a sea of blooming crabapple trees, creating a spectacular sight for all to enjoy.
