The 8th Spring for Chinese Arts at Beijing Tianqiao Performing Arts Center will run from March to June this year. During the festival, Beijing Tianqiao Performing Arts Center's public outreach initiative "Weekend Art Gathering" will present a diverse array of events. Surrounding selected theatrical works including drama, dance, traditional Chinese music, and parent-child shows, the production teams and well-known artists will be invited to participate in activities including theater workshops, art salons, cultural lectures, and backstage tours.
During the "Weekend Art Gathering" art promotion week from April 15 to 21, people may immerse themselves in a variety of activities, including a Tang and Song dynasty-themed art market, a parent-child art camp, a traditional Chinese music performance, a button art exhibition, a traditional costume and makeup experience, and a Chinese costume parade.
The "New Voices of the Chinese" segment will feature five stage productions by emerging artists, along with a playwright's interview on April 20.
From April 19 to 21, the musical drama "The Cat God in the Forbidden City" will be performed at the Tianqiao Performing Arts Center. As part of the "Weekend Art Gathering" event on April 20 and 21, there will be a children's backstage tour for this production, as well as a live cat face painting activity.
The Parent-Child Drama Club will host workshops in the latter half of April, the latter half of May and the early June.
