From November 2023 to February 2024, Yanqing District will host five high-level international and domestic ice and snow sports competitions. The 38th Yanqing Ice and Snow Festival will also be launched during this time.

The five upcoming competitions are as follows:

1. BMW IBSF Bobsleigh & Skeleton World Cup in Yanqing (November 6 to 19, 2023)

2. Bobsleigh and Skeleton (November 19 to 28, 2023) and Luge (December 12 to 17, 2023) at the 14th National Winter Games of the People's Republic of China

3. National Alpine Ski Championship (December 18 to 27, 2023)

4. The Alpine Far East Cup by the FIS (January 4 to 11, 2024)

5. Alpine Ski (January 27 to February 5, 2024) at the 14th National Winter Games of the People's Republic of China

In addition to preparing for the events, Yanqing District is also planning cultural and tourism activities for the 2023-2024 ice and snow season. This includes the 38th Yanqing Ice and Snow Festival, as well as over 150 thematic activities and routes across seven categories, such as professional competitions, alpine skiing, ice and snow-themed parks, ice lanterns, hot springs, hot pots, and off-season product picking. There will be a wide range of cultural and tourism options available to the public, including the Ice and Snow Carnival at Beijing Expo Park, Yudu Mountain Ice and Snow World, the 38th Longqing Gorge Ice Lantern Art Festival, and the second Beijing Expo Park Lantern Art Festival. These activities will allow visitors to experience the charm of ice and snow in various ways.
