The White Pagoda of Miaoying Temple in Xicheng District was illuminated by lights in the evening on August 10, 2023. The light display coincided with the launch of Gongmenkou Dongxicha Food Experience Tour, a sub-event of the 2023 Culture Xicheng District Food Festival.

Citizens gathered near the millennium-old Miaoying Temple for the gorgeous view of the ancient White Pagoda, taking in the trendy atmosphere and fresh vigor of Gongmenkou Dongxicha, a hutong nearby dating back to a century ago.

This sub-event is open until 23:00 every day and will continue until after China's National Day observed on October 1. During the event, various kinds of food and beverages, from beer and light bites to coffee will whet your palate. Additionally, special activities will be presented during the Qixi Festival and on the day of Autumnal Equinox, combining the characteristics of a historical and cultural sub-district with traditional Chinese solar terms. This will create a memorable cultural and culinary experience characterized by Beijing's own elements.
