Beijing announces latest measures on pandemic prevention and control to tighten management of passenger arrivals for the coming Spring Festival:
From Jan 28 to March 15, travelers from domestic low-risk areas must provide negative nucleic acid test results within seven days upon arrival, and they must undergo health monitoring for 14 days and receive two separate nucleic acid tests on their 7th and 14th day in Beijing. Travellers staying in Beijing for less than 14 days must follow requirements for health monitoring and nucleic acid tests during the actual period of stay.

They are advised to have personal protection in place while consciously minding the areas of activities and keeping reasonable social distance. They are also required to report health conditions to communities (villages) or employers, work sites or hotels, and proactively report abnormal symptoms and seek medical screening assistance in a timely manner. Travellers from low-risk areas in Hebei Province and commuters from surrounding areas of Beijing shall abide by the current policies.
Those from domestic medium and high-risk areas will not be permitted to enter Beijing in principle. Urgent arrivals will only be accepted by presenting approval of provincial authorities on pandemic prevention and control as well as negative nucleic acid tests results within 72 hours. Travellers from low-risk areas shall follow quarantine observation and nucleic acid test measures in accordance with relevant policies of Beijing in case that such areas are affirmed for medium or high risks.
Travellers entering China from other ports will only be allowed to visit Beijing after 21 days of their entry and shall have seven-day health monitoring upon arrival. Those already arriving in Beijing in less than 21 days of their entry shall undergo seven-day quarantine at home or in centralized site plus seven days of health monitoring.
