Beijing Lists 100 Must-See Sites for the First Time

On the evening of November 18, the 2020 list of must-see sites popular on the Internet in Beijing was officially released. In this list, a total of 100 recommended sites of such kind and 97 nominated ones were selected. Additionally, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism established a partnership with Didi Chuxing. According to the partnership, Didi Chuxing plans to provide the subsidy of tens of millions of RMB as exclusive benefits for consumers, bringing conveniences to the citizens and tourists who want to consume and take a perfect WeChat Moments snap at the selected sites.

The selected must-see sites include 12 natural scenic spots such as the Wenyuhe Park in Chaoyang District, and the Central Green Forest Park in Tongzhou District, 26 cultural landscapes such as the Gushan Village in Mentougou, and the Beijing Daxing International Airport Express, 14 cultural and artistic must-see sites such as the Maple Garden Drive-in Cinema, and the Tianleyuan Theatre-Peking Opera Experience, 13 restaurants and creative retail stores such as He Teppanyaki, and Corner Tower Café, 14 blocks and parks such as Beijing Sailong International Cultural and Creative Park, and Beijing Qianmen Street, 13 hotels such as the Luyuan Hotel, and the Beijing Marriott Hotel Changping, as well as 8 spaces of reading such as the Lishi Bookstore and the Map Store. These sites cover the cultural travel experience and consumption scenarios in the aspects of “dining, housing, transportation, traveling, shopping, and entertainment”, and showcase new urban landscapes, new prevailing trends, new landmarks, and new consumption scenarios of the ancient capital city of Beijing.
