The Beijing Housing Fund Management Center is a non-profit public institution directly under the People's Government of Beijing Municipality. Its main responsibilities are as follows:

1. To formulate and implement the plan for collecting and using the housing fund in Beijing;

2. To keep records of the payment, withdrawal and use of the housing fund of employees in Beijing;

3. To be responsible for the accounting of housing funds in Beijing;

4. To examine and approve the payment, withdrawal and use of housing fund in Beijing;

5. To maintain the value of and return housing funds in Beijing;

6. To prepare the report on implementation of the collection and use plan of housing fund in Beijing;

7. To perform other tasks assigned by Beijing Housing Fund Management Committee. 

8. Entrusted by the municipal government, the Center is also responsible for the management of other housing funds.
