Built in 1906, Jixiang Theater is a famous, time-honored theater in Beijing, with a history of more than 100 years. Maestros of Beijing Opera, like Tan Peixin and Mei Lanfang, have presented plays here as actors. The new Jixiang Theater is located on the 7th floor of Yintai at No. 88 Wangfujing Street. During the Qixi Festival observed on August 22 this year, Asel Akbarova, a famous female TV anchor from Kazakhstan, went to the theatre to watch the play "The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl". Let us look at this palace for the Beijing Opera and appreciate the charm of the quintessence of Chinese culture through her lens.
