The first-store economy, represented by premier launches, inaugural shows, and debut exhibitions, is gathering momentum in the Wangfujing commercial area. In 2024, the area welcomed 130 million visitors, with an average daily flow of 355,000, indicating a 30 percent year-on-year increase. In 2025, Wangfujing will continue to thrive in the first-store economy by introducing at least 45 first stores and flagship stores throughout the year. It aims to become a hub for the debut economy and accelerate the cultivation of the debut economy effect spanning initial launches, first stores and corporate headquarters.

Wangfujing also aims to create an international exchange platform. In 2024, Wangfujing Street successfully forged a "sister street" friendship with Myeongdong Shopping Street in Seoul. Moving forward, Wangfujing will continue to enhance the international influence of the Wangfujing International Brand Festival and the Wangfujing Forum, building a high-end platform for exchange, dialogue, and cooperation among international commercial brands and friendly cities worldwide.

Furthermore, Wangfujing will continue to burnish its "Golden Street, Golden Events" brand by curating a wide variety of cultural, commercial, tourism, and sports experience activities. It will bring together various original creations, first-launch products, and first-show events, building the reputation of its major IPs and creating a dynamic and sustainable commercial ecosystem that connects global brands, consumers, and commercial streets.

The kick-off ceremony for the 2025 National "Time-honored Brands Carnival" was also held in Wangfujing recently. The event will take place in a "1+3+N" format, with the launch ceremony as the starting point and supported by the three themes of "Time-honored Brands New Year Goods Market", "Time-honored Brands Enjoyed by All", and "Time-honored Brands Fashion Show". In addition, there will also be a wide array of colorful activities.
